The Hutchens/Myers Duo is a contemporary music ensemble composed of saxophonist, Dr. Andrew Hutchens and percussionist, Daniel Myers. Originally formed in 2016 while at Western Carolina University, the duo continues push the boundaries for saxophone and percussion duos through frequent outreach, commissioning, performance, and collaboration with new artists. The duo has held guest residencies and performances at venues and institutions such as Appalachian State University, Western Carolina University, Benedict College, and the 2022 Cortona Sessions for New Music.

Devoted to increasing the repertoire of this duo, the Hutchens/Myers duo has been active by commissioning, arranging, and premiering new works by composers such as Robert Honstein, Jenni Watson, Michael Laurello, Stephen Karukas, and Sophie Mathieu.
